A comprehensive technical audit was conducted across the 50,000-page site, identifying and resolving multiple layers of crawlability and on-page issues in collaboration with the development team. H1 tag duplication and missing heading structures were corrected across high-priority page templates. Schema markup errors were identified and fixed to restore rich result eligibility. Core Web Vitals issues were diagnosed and flagged with specific development recommendations. Sitewide 301 redirect chains were cleaned, 3XX and 4XX URLs were removed from XML sitemaps, thousands of broken pages were purged from the HTML sitemap, and the incorrectly blocked subfolder was unblocked restoring full crawl access to previously hidden content and allowing Google to efficiently discover and index the site's most valuable pages.
A structured keyword research process was conducted for each technology skill vertical, mapping the full cluster of search intent variations a job portal could own around a single skill. For each skill taking Python as an example a cluster of distinct, high-intent pages was created: Python Jobs, Hire Python Developers, Python Job Description, and Python Developer Salary each targeting a unique intent and audience, while collectively building topical authority for the skill across both B2C and B2B search queries. This silo structure was applied systematically across all major skill verticals, giving the site a coherent, interconnected content architecture that search engines could understand and reward.

A sidebar internal linking system was designed and implemented across all job-category pages, surfacing topically relevant location and skill combinations as contextual links. On a page like "Python Jobs," the sidebar automatically surfaces links to "Python Jobs in Mumbai," "Python Jobs in Pune," and equivalent location variants distributing link equity intelligently, reinforcing topical relevance signals, and creating a navigable content network that improved both user experience and ranking performance across long-tail location-based queries.
Seven months of combined technical remediation, silo architecture, internal linking, and page consolidation produced results that were directly measurable in Google Search Console. Daily organic clicks grew from approximately 4,000 to 10,000 a 53% increase in organic traffic volume comparing the last 7 months against the previous 7-month baseline. Total clicks for the period reached 1.4M against 51.3M impressions, with average CTR improving from 2.6% to 2.7% and average position moving from 17.6 to 18.2 signals that the combined strategy was not only driving more traffic but attracting higher-quality, more relevant visitors to the right pages.
