Job Description: As a Python Developer / AI Engineer Intern at Levrez, you will work alongside experienced developers and data scientists to support the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models and Python-based applications. This internship offers a great opportunity to strengthen your practical skills in machine learning, natural language processing, and backend development while working on real client projects. You will gain exposure to the full AI development lifecycle in a collaborative, fast-paced environment as part of Levrez's AI-first vision.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and testing Python-based applications, scripts, and APIs under senior guidance.
- Support the data preprocessing, cleaning, and feature engineering process for ML models.
- Help build, train, and evaluate basic machine learning models for assigned use cases.
- Assist in integrating AI/LLM-powered features into Levrez's products under mentorship.
- Support the maintenance of datasets, notebooks, and experiment documentation.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in Python code with guidance from senior developers.
- Write clean, well-documented code following team coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, research discussions, and daily stand-ups to learn best practices.
- Continuously learn and stay updated with advancements in AI, machine learning, and the Python ecosystem.
Requirements
- Exposure to Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask is a plus.
- Basic familiarity with NLP libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, or Hugging Face Transformers is a plus.
- Awareness of LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex is a plus.
- Basic understanding of vector databases such as Pinecone or Weaviate is a plus.
- Familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks for data exploration and experimentation is a plus.
- A portfolio, GitHub profile, or academic projects showcasing Python/AI work is a plus.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in Python programming and its core libraries.
- Foundational understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
- Basic exposure to ML/AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Basic understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Awareness of Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, or LLaMA is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
- Good problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
